Let's Celebrate Nebraska 4-H Month!

February is Nebraska 4-H Month, and we want to hear your 4-H story! Share a short video or photo that shows your 4-H experience using #NE4H and #TrueLeaders.

4-H Achievement Celebration

The Annual 4-H Achievement Celebration was held on Sunday, February 4th, 2024 at the Norm Waitt YMCA. Close to 70 youth and adults were in attendance from Dakota and Dixon County. Families enjoyed pizza, treats and swimming. Youth that had submitted Award Applications were given packets with their awards and scoresheets. Youth received certificates, discs for there award plaques and a cash award.

The Nebraska Extension Special Agronomy Project gives 4-H members an opportunity to experience a crop that is grown, was grown or has the potential to be grown in Nebraska. Youth participate by receiving seed and resources to grow the crop, research traits of the crop and determine the viability of that crop in the part of the state they live in. The project allows 4-H members interested in agronomy to grow something fun, new, and different.

The Nebraska Women in Agriculture Conference is an annual two-day event designed to educate and uplift women involved in any aspect of Nebraska's agricultural industry. Through workshops and presentations, attendees will learn how to better manage risk, improve their farms and ranches and become more successful operators and business partners.  We will be offering a Pre-Conference again this year!
